Worn alone, this piece blocks all radiation at 10 of 14 monuments that have radiation zones. Each 1% of protection takes 1 rad per second off a zone. The protection of everything you wear adds up, and counts up to 50% in all.

Methodology

Tested on the current version of Rust.

Protection was tested in game on the current version of Rust, with only the piece worn. Every body part a piece covers stops the same share.

Two pieces clash when they take the same slot in the same layer.

Pieces that take the same body parts in the same layer are ranked together, on the hit area named above. The best figure in each column is bold.

Protection adds up over everything you wear and every insert in it. A piece that also takes the base layer leaves no room under it, so it counts alone.

Each radiation figure is the dose at the strongest spot of the monument's strongest zone, with only this piece worn. The weakest zone gives 10 rads per second. A broken piece counts a quarter.
