- Every tea also gives +30 hydration.
- Brew at the Mixing Table (5s per mix). Advanced and Pure take 4× the tier below, so one Pure Ore Tea is 32 Blue and 32 Yellow berries.
- Gather teas do not heal; they only add yield. Harvest and max health teas last 20 minutes at every tier; cooling teas last 20 / 45 / 60 minutes.
- Teas of the same buff do not stack. A second one replaces the first, even if it is weaker. Teas with different buffs work together.
- A pie does not replace a tea. A pie buff and a tea buff of the same kind both apply.
- A Bear Pie makes ore, wood, scrap and harvest buffs 1.5× as strong, but they run out twice as fast.
Methodology
Tested in game on our own server: all 58 teas, pies and cooked meats. The table shows each tea's buff type, strength and duration. Tested on the current version of Rust.
Rust teas: common questions
- What is the best tea in Rust?
- For farming, the Pure gather teas: Pure Ore Tea gives +50% ore yield, Pure Wood Tea +200% wood yield and Pure Scrap Tea +350% scrap yield from barrels. Each family's Pure tier is its strongest.
- How long do teas last in Rust?
- From 3 min (Basic Crafting Quality Tea) to 60 min (Pure Warming Tea). Ore and wood teas last 30 min at every tier.
- How do you make tea in Rust?
- Mix berries at a Mixing Table (5s per mix). Basic Ore Tea takes 2 Yellow Berry and 2 Blue Berry. Each higher tier takes 4 teas of the tier below.
- How many berries does a Pure tea take?
- Pure Ore Tea takes 32 Blue Berry and 32 Yellow Berry in total. Other Pure teas scale the same way from their own Basic recipe.
