Rust Crafting Guide
Crafting in Rust requires the correct materials and workbench level. Workbench Level 1 (WB1) allows basic firearms and tools. Workbench Level 2 (WB2) unlocks mid-tier weapons like the Thompson and Semi-Auto Rifle. Workbench Level 3 (WB3) is required for end-game weapons and explosives like the AK-47, C4, and Rockets.
Each item also has a fixed craft time that cannot be reduced. Plan your crafting sessions accordingly, especially for explosives and ammunition which are often needed in bulk for raiding.
Workbench Levels Explained
WB1 costs 75 Scrap and unlocks basic items. WB2 costs 500 Scrap and unlocks mid-tier gear. WB3 costs 1250 Scrap and unlocks all end-game items. Each workbench includes the capabilities of lower-tier workbenches.
