Lighthouse
A small coastal monument featuring a tall lighthouse tower. It offers basic loot and a recycler, making it a useful early-game stop. Low risk with minimal competition.
Supermarket
A small roadside grocery store with food crates and a recycler. One of the safest monuments for fresh spawns to gear up and recycle components. Often found along roads.
Gas Station
A small roadside gas station with a recycler and basic loot. Similar to the Supermarket, it provides early-game resources. The garage area may contain brown crates.
Mining Outpost
A small mining-themed monument with a recycler. It features a few crates and barrels, making it a decent early-game stop. The quarry structures provide some cover.
Oxum's Gas Station
A slightly larger gas station variant with better loot than the regular Gas Station. Features a recycler and more crate spawns. Named after Rust community figure Oxum.
Abandoned Cabins
A very small cluster of run-down wooden cabins scattered in the wilderness. Provides minimal loot but is useful for early-game scavenging. No recycler or workbench.
Satellite Dish
A medium-sized monument centered around a large satellite dish. It has a recycler and occasionally spawns military crates, bridging early and mid-game loot. Some areas have mild radiation.
Harbor (Small)
A small coastal harbor with docks, cranes, and shipping containers. Features a recycler and several crate spawns. Good for acquiring boat-related items and components.
Harbor (Large)
A large coastal harbor with extensive dock infrastructure, cranes, and warehouses. More loot than the small variant with additional military crate spawns. A popular early-to-mid-game destination.
Junkyard
A medium-sized monument filled with scrap vehicles and piles of junk. Features a recycler, a crusher that converts cars into resources, and several crate spawns. Good for mid-game progression.
Sewer Branch
An underground sewer system accessed through surface entrances. Features a green card puzzle that leads to a room with military crates. A solid early monument for green-card loot runs.
Power Plant
A large industrial monument with a multi-stage puzzle path starting with a green card and progressing to blue. Features heavy radiation in some areas, a recycler, and valuable loot throughout.
The Dome
A large spherical dome structure that must be climbed to reach the loot at the top. No puzzle required but the climb is dangerous — falling means death. Military crates spawn at the summit.
Water Treatment Plant
A large water processing facility with a blue card puzzle leading to elite crates. Features extensive grounds with many barrel and crate spawns. One of the best mid-game monuments for loot.
Airfield
A large military airfield with hangars, a runway, and a control tower. Features a blue card puzzle with elite crate rewards. One of the most popular mid-game monuments due to consistent high-tier loot.
Train Yard
A medium-sized railway depot with train cars, warehouses, and a blue card puzzle. Offers good military crate loot and a recycler. The elevated positions provide strategic vantage points.
Launch Site
The largest land monument in Rust, featuring a massive rocket on a launch pad. Contains a red card puzzle with the best land-based loot, Bradley APC patrol, and extreme radiation zones. The ultimate high-risk, high-reward monument.
Military Tunnels
A heavily fortified underground bunker guarded by armed scientists. Features a red card puzzle with elite crate rewards. High radiation throughout and dangerous NPC enemies make this one of the most challenging monuments.
Small Oil Rig
An offshore oil rig accessible only by boat or helicopter. Guarded by scientists with a blue card puzzle. Calling the heavy scientist event via the locked crate triggers a wave of heavily armored NPCs and a chinook crate.
Large Oil Rig
The larger offshore oil rig with more loot, tougher scientists, and both blue and red card puzzles. One of the most lucrative monuments in the game. Triggering the heavy scientist event yields top-tier loot from the chinook crate.
Arctic Research Base
A research facility located in the arctic biome, surrounded by snow and extreme cold. Guarded by scientists with a card puzzle system. Features elite crates and military loot in a harsh environment.
Outpost
A safe zone NPC town where PvP is prohibited. Features vendors selling essential items, a recycler, repair bench, and a Level 1 workbench. Players who attack others here will be killed by turrets and temporarily banned from entry.
Bandit Camp
A safe zone settlement run by bandits. Features gambling (wheel of fortune and slot machines), a recycler, repair bench, Level 2 workbench, and various NPC vendors. PvP is prohibited inside.
Fishing Village (Small)
A small coastal safe zone village with a boat vendor and fishing-related amenities. Players can purchase boats and kayaks here. PvP is prohibited inside the safe zone boundaries.
Fishing Village (Large)
A larger coastal safe zone village with more vendors, a boat shop, and fishing supplies. Provides more amenities than the small variant including a recycler. PvP is prohibited.
Ranch
A safe zone ranch where players can purchase and manage horses. Features stables, a vendor for horse-related items, and open pastures. PvP is prohibited within the safe zone.
Stables
A safe zone stable facility for horse trading and management. Sells horses and horse shoes that improve horse stats. PvP is prohibited within the safe zone boundaries.
Ferry Terminal
A coastal transit hub where the ferry departs and arrives. Players can ride the ferry to travel across the map via waterways. Features some basic loot and serves as a transportation nexus.
Underwater Lab
A procedurally generated underwater laboratory accessible via moonpool entrances. Features scientists, loot crates, and a unique modular layout that changes per server. Requires diving equipment to reach.
Missile Silo
A large underground military silo housing a nuclear missile. Features a complex multi-stage puzzle with card progression, scientists, and elite crate rewards. One of the newer high-tier monuments with unique mechanics.
Excavator
A massive industrial excavator that can be activated to mine resources automatically. Players insert diesel fuel to operate the excavator, which deposits HQM, sulfur, stone, or metal fragments into a collection bin. Guarded by scientists.
Giant Excavator Pit
A large open-pit mining site separate from the Excavator monument. Features a deep pit with scaffolding, crate spawns on multiple levels, and a recycler. The vertical layout creates interesting combat scenarios.
HQM Quarry
A small automated quarry that extracts high-quality metal when fueled with diesel. One of three quarry variants found across the map. Produces the most valuable resource type of the quarries.
Sulfur Quarry
A small automated quarry that extracts sulfur ore when fueled. Essential for raiding supplies as sulfur is used to craft explosives. One of three quarry variants found across the map.
Stone Quarry
A small automated quarry that extracts stones and metal ore when fueled. The most common quarry variant. Useful for building materials and early-game progression.
Wild Swamp
A murky swamp area with scattered loot and environmental hazards. Features shallow water, dense vegetation, and occasional crate spawns. The terrain makes navigation and combat difficult.
Abandoned Military Base
A decommissioned military compound with barracks, watchtowers, and fortified positions. Features military crate spawns and barrels across the compound. A mid-tier monument with decent loot density.
Cargo Ship
A mobile event monument — a large cargo ship that circles the map on the ocean. Features scientists, locked crates, and high-tier loot. Players must board it from boats while it is moving. A timed event that despawns after completing its route.
Chinook Drop Zone
Not a fixed monument but a dynamic event. The CH-47 Chinook helicopter flies across the map and drops a locked crate at a random monument. The crate emits a smoke signal and takes 15 minutes to unlock, attracting heavy PvP.
Train Tunnel
An underground rail network connecting monuments across the map. Players can ride workcarts or the above-ground train to travel between stations. Each station has loot spawns and some have dwellers (NPCs).
