Rust Ban Lookup
Check any Rust player for VAC, game, community and server bans.
Free. VAC, game and community ban counts. Server ban records cost one unlock.
What you get
Steam bans, free
VAC, game and community bans on the account, plus any trade ban. Free on every lookup, public profile or not.
Server ban records
Bans from individual Rust servers, with the server, the reason and the date. One unlock, and only when records exist. An empty result does not charge.
Alerts on new bans
Add a player to your watchlist and get an alert when a new VAC, game or community ban shows up. Checked every 6 hours on paid plans.
Bans are one part of the full report
A ban from 2016 on another game says less than a fresh Rust server ban. The same page shows hours, combat stats and accuracy, past names, friends and groups and the Steam inventory, so you can read a ban in context. Bans open first here, the rest sits under them.
Common questions
Can I check a private profile for bans?
Yes. Steam shows VAC, game and community bans even when the profile is private, so the free ban check works on every account.
What is the difference between a VAC ban and a game ban?
Steam issues VAC bans for cheats its anti-cheat detects. Game bans come from the game developer, which for Rust covers cheats caught by the game's own anti-cheat. Steam does not say which game a ban came from.
What is a server ban?
A ban from one community server, set by its admins. It does not show on Steam. Server ban records cost one unlock and come with the server, the reason and the date.
Does a clean result prove a player is legit?
No. It means no ban is on record. Read it next to hours and combat stats, which sit on the same report.
