It is the short name the game uses for an item in console commands, like rifle.ak for the Assault Rifle. Click a shortname in the list to copy it.

How do I spawn an item with its shortname?

With admin rights, open the F1 console and type inventory.give, then the shortname and the amount, for example inventory.give rifle.ak 1.

What is a Rust item ID?

It is a number the game gives each item. Some commands and server plugins take the item ID in place of the shortname. You can search the list by ID.

What are the stack sizes for resources in Rust?

Wood, Stones, Metal Fragments, Sulfur and Scrap stack to 1,000. High Quality Metal stacks to 100. These are the default server values.
