Each count is for the whole map. Every 60 seconds the game adds back part of what is missing from each population, up to 100 of them, at new random spots in its biomes.

Methodology
Tested in game on our own server: the biomes each population may spawn in and the number the game aims for on a 4,000 m map. A spot counts as the biome that covers most of it. A server can change the settings. Tested on the current version of Rust.
Rust Jungle biome: common questions
- What animals live in the Jungle in Rust?
- Snake, Stag, Crocodile, Panther and Tiger. Snake, Crocodile, Panther and Tiger live only in the Jungle.
- Which ore nodes spawn in the Jungle?
- On a 4,000 m map: Metal Ore Node, Stone Ore Node and Sulfur Ore Node, 457 for the Jungle alone; HQM Ore Node, 31 for the Jungle alone.
- What trees grow in the Jungle in Rust?
- Hura crepitans, Hura crepitans Sapling, Mauritia flexuosa, Mauritia flexuosa Sapling, Schizolobium, Schizolobium Sapling, Small Trumpet Tree Sapling, Trumpet Tree and Trumpet Tree Sapling. They grow in no other biome. Swamp Tree grows on swamps, in any biome.
