Messaging Policy — SMS & Voice Alerts

Last updated: June 11, 2026

RustLite LLC offers optional SMS text and automated voice-call alerts so you can be notified when something happens at your base in Rust — most importantly, when a Smart Alarm you set up is triggered (e.g. during a raid). Phone alerts are an optional add-on, never a requirement.Every RustLite feature — creating an account, pairing a server, and using Smart Alarms — works fully without providing a phone number or consenting to messages; alarms can instead notify you through in-app push, Discord, Telegram, and other channels. This page describes the program and how consent works. Program contact: [email protected] · (830) 316-3910.

How you opt in (express consent)

Phone alerts are strictly opt-in and never enabled by default. Consent to receive SMS and voice alerts is a separate, standalone choice, made through a dedicated opt-in checkbox on the optional phone-alerts form — it is not bundled into our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, account sign-up, or any purchase, and the box is never pre-checked. Agreeing to receive messages is never a condition of using RustLite: if you skip this form entirely, no phone number is collected, no messages are ever sent, and every feature of the service (including Smart Alarms, via the non-phone notification channels) remains fully available.

The box is unchecked by default. Checking it does nothing except enable this optional phone channel — declining it never limits access to RustLite or Smart Alarms.

Where this appears in the product:

  1. Sign in to RustLite and pair your Rust server under Rust+ → Connection.
  2. If (and only if) you want phone alerts, open the optional “Phone — SMS & voice call” card — one of several notification channels — enter your own mobile number in E.164 format, tick the consent checkbox shown above, then Save.
  3. Enable the SMS and/or Voice channel on a specific Smart Alarm under Rust+ → Alarms.

What messages you'll receive

Account notifications only — transactional alerts you configured. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Example message:

RustLite 🚨 Main base alarm: SMART ALARM ACTIVATED (D7). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Message frequency

Frequency varies and depends on your in-game activity and the alarms you enable. During a raid, alerts may repeat (you control this with per-alarm cooldown and rate limits). On a quiet day you may receive none.

Opt-out & help

Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message to stop all texts to that number. Reply HELP (or INFO) for assistance. You can also remove your number or disable the SMS/Voice channel at any time in your RustLite notification settings. For help, contact [email protected].

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. RustLite does not charge for alerts.

Privacy

We collect your phone number only to deliver the alerts you request. Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
